Using this link, https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6n6dp3 please complete the lesson on ‘Figurative Language and Imagery in Poetry’. Watch the video clips and then have a go at activities 1 and 2. (There is a third activity that you can complete, however this is optional.) We have uploaded the worksheets for activities 1 and 2 below.

Spelling

Please practise ‘Adverbials of Place Spellings’. Children in Miss Halligan’s English set may want to continue practising spellings from the 100 club instead.

Get Creative:

For this week’s creative activity, we want you to draw with Rob! We want you to draw a self-portrait and send it in!

You could even add a nice background of your favourite place to be or draw some different members of your family!

Time to Move:

Virtual Sports Day!

This video includes 3 Sports Day style activities to complete each day of the week!

Science:

Seeing as our leaf detective activity proved quite popular a few weeks ago, we now have another nature-inspired challenge!

Can you identify birds in your garden or on a local walk?

Use our handy bird-spotting guide to help you!

The maths activities this week continue to focus on transformations. The lessons are delivered to you by ‘Oak National Academy’, which has been formed by several teachers across the country to deliver different lessons for home learning.
