Welcome to the Remote Learning page for Allanson Street Primary School.

Dear Parent / Carer,

Our remote learning provision makes use of Class Dojo, our school website and Microsoft Teams.

Please ensure you read our remote learning policy (below) which tells you what you can expect from staff at school and what we expect from you and your child whilst he / she is self-isolating.

Class Dojo

Part of our remote learning provision includes the use of Class Dojo. We’ve been using this as a means of communication between all members of our school family for a while now. However, if you need a reminder of how to log on or how to add to your child’s portfolio, please click on the links below.

Microsoft Teams

Twice a week, children undertake ‘Class Meetings’. To make sure your child doesn’t miss out on these, they have been assigned with an office 365 account in order to gain full access to Microsoft Teams.

Below are 2 documents and a video which will help you to access and use Teams.

Online Learning Platforms

Each day, children have ‘free learning time’. Click on the ‘Online Learning Resources’ tab to the right to access a whole host of fantastic online learning platforms that children can utilise during this time if they so wish.

Personal Support

  • If you need any support in accessing any of the above learning platforms (including password issues), please contact Miss Fallon via a direct message on Class Dojo.
  • If your child requires support with their learning, please see the Class Dojo page in case any further support has been provided there. If not, you can contact your child’s class teacher via a direct message on Class Dojo.
  • If you have a question about FSM lunch parcels, please contact a member of our pastoral team (Mrs Browne, Mrs Tyrer or Miss Cunliffe) via a direct message on Class Dojo.
  • If you would like to enquire about loaning a laptop to support your child with remote learning, please send a direct message on Class Dojo to Miss Fallon or Mrs Range.

Please bear in mind that you can still contact the school through the usual channels of phoning the school office on:  01744 678144 or emailing:  [email protected] if you have any particular questions or concerns regarding your children’s education and wellbeing.

Well done! You’re now ready to get started. Simply click the year tab, on the right, that your child is in. This will direct you to today’s learning activities and supporting materials. The daily schedule is updated each day with new activities. Keep coming back each day to see the new lessons available.

I very much look forward to seeing your child’s fabulous achievements on Class Dojo.

Take care,

Mrs L Dingsdale
