IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please read the attached ‘WARN AND INFORM’ letter

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, we’ve been informed today that one of our children has tested positive for covid 19. I’ve spoken to DfE Track and Trace, and the same service within the Local Authority, and have been informed by both that WE DO NOT NEED TO SEND ANY CHILDREN OR STAFF HOME. Due to the fact that the child in question was last in school a week ago and only developed symptoms on Saturday, the time scale is such that all children and staff in school are not considered to be at higher risk of infection.

I completely understand that this will cause you to feel worried and a little anxious but I can assure you that if I felt that any of our children or staff were at an increased risk, I would now be sending them home but this is not the case.

I am very pleased to be able to tell you that the child in question is feeling well and enjoying being fussed over by mum at home.

I’m sad to say that over the coming weeks and months I will undoubtedly be sending messages similar to this one but that is only in the interest of keeping you well-informed rather than ever wanting to cause you any worry.

Take care and keep safe,

Mrs Dingsdale
